Taking their cue from the Italian tricycle scooters, in 1953 Glas also offered a 3-wheeled utility scooter, which was ideal transportation for the small craftsmen shops and for traveling salesmen. It used a 200 cc, Ilo one-cylinder motor with 9.5 HP and an electric starter. The transmission had three forward and one reverse gear. The engine was mounted transversely and transferred its power through a drive shaft and a rear differential to the rear wheels. Maximum carrying capacity was 500 lbs, top speed was given at 40 MPH and it was able to climb a 25% hill. 485 models were built from March 1953 until September 1955. The increased difficulty getting permission from the traffic authorities to use this scooter on public highways was one of the reasons given for halting production.
